Sub Ohm & MTL Tanks

How do I choose a tank?

The tank holds the e-liquid and takes the coil: it determines the flavour, the vapour and the draw.

What capacity should I choose?

The capacity of a tank ranges from 2ml to 8ml, with 5ml and 5.5ml the most common sizes on this page. Small sizes like the GTL Tank 2ml suit occasional vaping, while the GTL Tank 4.5ml or models of 5ml and above mean fewer refills during the day.

Adjustable airflow: what is it for?

Airflow is the ring that opens or closes the air intake on the tank. Closed, the draw becomes tighter and the flavour more concentrated; open, the vapour gains volume and the draw becomes airier. Almost all the tanks on this page have adjustable airflow, which lets you tune the result without changing your kit.

Which coil for my tank?

Each tank accepts one specific family of coils, never the coils of another model. Z-Coil coils fit the Zeus Sub Ohm and the Zeus Sub Ohm 5, Nautilus coils fit the Nautilus 3S, Nautilus 3SR and Nautilus GT 2, PnP X coils fit the PnP X DTL and PnP X MTL, GTL coils fit the GTL D20 and the GZeno S Tank, iTank T coils fit the iTank T and the iTank T Dual Mesh, and Prism T18 coils fit the Prism T18. Always check the exact name of your tank before ordering a replacement coil.

How do I fill my tank?

Filling is done from the top on the vast majority of tanks on this page: you open the top of the tank without taking the whole thing apart. A few models fill from the side or from the bottom, which is always stated on the product page.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a tank coil last?

A tank coil generally lasts one to two weeks of daily use before losing flavour. Sweet or dessert e-liquids clog the cotton faster than classic or menthol liquids, and shorten its lifespan accordingly.

Airflow closed or open, what is the difference?

A closed airflow tightens the draw and concentrates the flavour, while an open airflow lets in more air and produces more vapour. The right setting depends on the type of vape you are after: tight for MTL, more open for DL.

MTL, RDL or DL, which tank should I choose?

An MTL tank (tight draw) suits e-liquids with a high nicotine strength. A DL tank (airy draw, big vapour) suits low-strength liquids. RDL sits in between. This page offers all three styles, which you can spot on each product page.

Can the drip tip on a tank be changed?

Yes, on most tanks on this page the drip tip can be removed and replaced with another of the same size, 510 or 810 depending on the model. It is a simple way to personalise your vape without changing your kit.

What should I do if my tank leaks?

A leaking tank often has a simple cause: a seal not put back properly after filling, an e-liquid too thin for the coil installed, or filling done without leaving an air bubble. Also check that the coil is screwed in properly before filling again.
