Disposable Vapes

How to choose a disposable vape

Disposable vapes now cover several families of devices that have little in common: it is worth knowing which one suits the way you vape before you order.

Rechargeable disposable vape or prefilled pod?

A rechargeable disposable vape has a battery you charge over USB-C: you keep the device and only change the pod or the e-liquid vial when the flavour fades. A prefilled pod works differently: it is a complete consumable, already filled, that clips onto a compatible pod device and is thrown away once empty, like the Aspire Nexi One pods or the OXVA Artio 2 pods. The rechargeable costs a little more to buy, but works out cheaper puff after puff.

What do 25K, 30K and 50K mean on a disposable vape?

This figure is the number of puffs claimed by the manufacturer for the complete device, battery and tank combined: it stays theoretical and varies with the way you draw. You will find it in the name of many models, such as the Hyper Max 25K, the Hyper Max Advanced 30K or the Hypermax Prime 50K, all from Al Fakher. The bigger the battery, the higher the figure, but the pod or wick almost always wears out before the claimed total is reached.

Which nicotine strength should I choose?

The strength on our disposable vapes runs from 0mg (nicotine-free) to 20mg/ml nicotine salt. A high strength suits a smoker who is new to vaping, a low or zero strength suits an established vaper. Nicotine-free disposable vapes are used exactly like the others, only the nicotine is missing from the mix; everything else (vapour, flavour, draw) stays the same. On a rechargeable disposable vape, the strength depends mostly on the e-liquid you choose.

How many vials or pods come in the box?

The pack size varies by range: a disposable vape like the JNR Falcon-X 28K comes with two refill vials plus one free, while a pod like the Artio 2 is sold in packs of 2. The exact pack size is always given in the product title.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a disposable vape last?

A disposable vape lasts from a few days to two or three weeks depending on the model and how often you use it. A prefilled pod is thrown away once the flavour goes flat, while a rechargeable disposable vape lasts as long as its battery, provided the pods are replaced.

What is the difference between a disposable vape and a pod kit?

A disposable vape is designed to be simple: few or no settings, and a pod or vial that is ready to use. A pod kit means choosing your own e-liquid and sometimes your own coil, but it works out cheaper in the long run and gives you a wider choice of flavours.

How do you vape a nicotine-free disposable vape?

A nicotine-free disposable vape is used exactly like a standard one: same battery, same vapour, same draw. Only the nicotine is missing from the mix, which makes it a good choice for vaping without nicotine. The full range is gathered in Nicotine-Free Disposable Vapes.

Can you fill a rechargeable disposable vape with any e-liquid?

No, only the e-liquids and refills that the manufacturer states are compatible should be used in a rechargeable disposable vape: the pod format and the recommended strength change from one model to the next.

What should I do with a prefilled pod once it is empty?

A prefilled pod is thrown away once it is empty and cannot be refilled: it is a single-use consumable that you replace with a new one of the same reference.
