The Z family, at the heart of the Zeus tanks

The Z Series coils from Geekvape are the replacement coils for the Zeus Sub-Ohm, the Zeus Sub-Ohm 5, the Z Fli 2 and their cousins. They are made for direct-to-lung (DL) inhalation: a full draw, vapour pulled to the lungs in one go and plenty of volume. This page brings together the classic version and the first-generation XM, in boxes of 5.

Classic or XM?

• 0.15ohm (80 to 90W): the most power-hungry in the range, for powerful boxes
• 0.2ohm (70 to 80W): installed as standard in the P Subohm and the Aegis Legend 2 kit
• 0.25ohm (45 to 57W): dual coil, suited to less powerful boxes
• 0.4ohm (50 to 60W): a slightly more restrained draw and more reasonable e-liquid consumption
• 0.15ohm XM (70 to 85W) and 0.4ohm XM (50 to 60W): a reinforced mesh core, which lasts about twice as long according to Geekvape

Z Series or Z XM Boost?

The Z XM Boost coils are the most recent version of the family. They share the same base as the classic Z, so they fit the same tanks and come in 0.15, 0.2 and 0.4ohm; Geekvape quotes a life of 50 to 60ml of e-liquid per coil. Only the Z Series offers the 0.25ohm dual coil. For the P Subohm, Geekvape only lists the classic Z.

Compatibility

In addition to the tanks mentioned above, Z Series coils fit the Z Fli, the Z Subohm SE and the P Subohm (except the 0.25ohm), as well as the tanks supplied with the Aegis Legend 2, Legend 3, Legend 5, Max 2, Solo 2 and Solo 3 kits. They do not suit the Z Nano, Z Nano 2 and Z Nano 3, which use B Series coils. Find the other families in the coils section.

Frequently asked questions

Which value for a box limited to 60W?

Stick with the 0.25ohm or a 0.4ohm, classic or XM: their ranges do not exceed 60W. The 0.15ohm and 0.2ohm need at least 70W to perform at their best.

Why is my coil spitting?

A slight crackle is normal at first. If it spits out liquid, the cotton is flooded: remove the drip tip, draw two or three times without firing the box, then resume at moderate power.
