The GEN Max kit from Vaporesso brings together a box mod with two 18650 batteries (not supplied) and the 6ml iTank T tank. Its particular feature: the fire button turns on itself to change the power, which saves juggling several buttons. At 196g for 141.4mm tall, it stays light for a dual-battery kit. It is aimed at direct-to-lung inhalation (DL), that of dense clouds and full flavours.

The box mod can deliver up to 220W, far more than the 60 to 75W required by the installed GTi Mesh 0.2ohm coil; the 0.4ohm in the box is set between 50 and 60W. Pulse mode, active by default, steadies the power, and a button locks the box mod during transport. On the iTank T, you slide the cap to fill from the top; the air also arrives from the top, with a graduated ring to dose the draw, and a circuit recovers condensation to limit leaks.

Coils to buy again

The iTank T takes only GTi coils, never GTX. The GTi coils 5 Pack come in 0.15, 0.2, 0.4 and 0.5ohm, and the GTi Dual Mesh offer an alternative with a double heating mesh. How do I set the power on the GEN Max?

Turn the fire button to raise or lower the watts. Lock the box mod when you put it away, to avoid any accidental change.

Are the batteries included in the kit?

No, the kit is sold without batteries: you need two identical 18650s. They can then be recharged in the box mod through the USB-C port (5V / 2A).
