The Luxe 80, halfway between a pod and a box mod

The Luxe 80 kit from Vaporesso combines a small battery with a GTX Pod 26 tank held by magnets. You keep the freedom of adjustment of a box mod, up to 80W, in a device that fits in the palm of your hand. The built-in 2,500mAh battery charges over USB-C (5V / 2A) and the 0.96-inch TFT screen shows your settings, then the remaining charge time when the cable is plugged in.

The 5ml tank fills from the top once the cap is unscrewed, and the airflow is set by pivoting the pod on the battery. It accepts the whole family of GTX coils. Two are supplied: the 0.2ohm, from 45 to 60W, for direct-to-lung inhalation (DL) with plenty of vapour, and the 0.3ohm, from 32 to 45W, for a slightly gentler vape. In Smart VW mode, power adapts to the coil by itself; the VW and VV modes leave control to regulars. A counter keeps track of your puffs over seven days and several colour themes dress the screen.

How do I stop the Luxe 80 firing in a bag?

Three presses of the fire button lock the system; repeat the same action to release it. To switch it off completely, press five times within two seconds.
