The coil alone, for the JR pod of the Digi pods

The J Series coils from Geekvape are sold in boxes of five. They fit the empty JR pod, supplied with the Digi Pro and Digi Max in the R version. When the taste wears out, you replace only the coil and keep the pod. Their heating surface is mesh: a fine metal grid that spreads the heat over a wide area of cotton.

Choosing your value

• 0.4ohm (23 to 28W): the most generous, with restricted direct-to-lung (RDL) draw, that is a puff sent almost directly to the lungs.
• 0.6ohm (16 to 21W): still RDL, at more moderate power.
• 0.8ohm (12 to 17W): the versatile value, usable for light RDL as well as mouth-to-lung (MTL) inhalation.
• 1.2ohm (8 to 12W): MTL, the vapour stays in the mouth for a moment before being inhaled, a gesture close to that of a cigarette.

The power ranges are printed on each box. A handy tip: the 0.4 and 0.6ohm have an orange ring, the 0.8 and 1.2ohm a purple ring.

J coil or J pod?

Do not slip them into the J pods 2 Pack: these already have their own coil and are thrown away whole once used up. Without a JR pod, these are what you need. Both the Digi Pro and the Digi Max accept both systems. The other references are gathered in the coils section.

Frequently asked questions

How do I start a new coil?

Place a few drops of e-liquid on the cotton visible through the openings, fit the coil in the JR pod, fill, then wait about five minutes. Start at the bottom of the range printed on the box and increase in small steps.

When should I replace it?

As soon as the flavour turns dull, a burnt taste appears or the vapour decreases without any change of setting. A very sweet e-liquid clogs the wick faster.
