Solo 3 18650 battery version: battery life you can swap

This Aegis Solo 3 box mod from Geekvape is the version with a removable 18650 battery, sold separately. The appeal: when the battery is empty, you insert another that is already charged and the box restarts immediately. If you do not want to handle batteries, choose the Aegis Solo 3 3000mAh box mod instead, with a built-in battery: both versions share the same size, the same modes and the same 100W limit.

Protected to the IP68 standard against water, dust and knocks, the Solo 3 packs the AS Chip 4.0 and six modes: SMART, POWER, BOOSTING, MEMORY (up to five settings saved), ECO and TCR. Smart Lock simplifies locking, and the 0.96-inch screen shows the essentials. At 86.93mm tall by 40.81mm wide, it fits easily in a jacket pocket.

Which tank to use?

In the Aegis Solo 3 kit, the box comes with a Zeus Sub-Ohm 2021 that uses Z Series coils. Sold on its own, it takes any 510 tank: the Zeus Sub-Ohm (26mm) for dense vapour with direct-to-lung inhalation (DL), or the Z Nano MTL for a tight vape with mouth-to-lung inhalation (MTL), close to the feel of a cigarette. Solo 3 or Solo 3 3000mAh: how do I choose?

Take this version if you already own 18650 batteries or want to be able to swap them at any time. The 3000mAh version suits you better if you simply prefer to plug the box in, without buying a battery.

Which battery should I use?

A flat-top 18650 battery: with a raised terminal, the hatch will not close. It is not included.

Can I charge the battery without taking it out?

Yes, via the USB-C port at 5V / 2A. An external charger lets you prepare a second battery while you vape.
