Coils for Aspire AVP pods

The AVP Pro coils from Aspire are packed in fives and come in two versions: a standard 1.15ohm coil and a 0.65ohm mesh coil. To tell them apart at a glance, look at the top seal: light grey on the 1.15ohm, blue on the 0.65ohm. The value and recommended power are also engraved on the metal.

1.15ohm or 0.65ohm?

• 1.15ohm (10 to 16W): it needs little power, gives soft, discreet vapour and uses less battery.
• 0.65ohm mesh (15 to 18W): it needs a little more power in return for fuller vapour and more present flavour.

Both stay within a low-power vape, that of mouth-to-lung (MTL) inhalation: the vapour is held in the mouth for a moment, then inhaled, as with a cigarette.

When should I replace the coil?

As soon as the flavour turns dull, the vapour decreases or a burnt aftertaste appears. With a sweet or heavily coloured e-liquid, this moment comes sooner.

How do I prepare a new coil?

Wet the wick through the side openings, install the coil, fill the pod and give it a few minutes of rest before taking the first puff.
