Coils for the Cerberus, Shield and Aero tanks

The Super Mesh coils from Geekvape fit three tanks from the brand: the Cerberus, the Shield and the Aero. These models are no longer offered in our shop, but their coils remain available for those who still use them. They serve direct-to-lung (DL) inhalation: an airy draw, the vapour pulled in one go to the lungs and a full cloud. The box contains 5 coils.

The values in the range

• X1 0.2ohm (60 to 70W): KA1 mesh, the most generous with vapour in the new generation
• X2 0.4ohm (50 to 60W): KA1 mesh, slightly less power needed
• X2 0.3ohm (30 to 45W): the old version of the X2, before it moved to 0.4ohm
• S Single Mesh 0.15ohm (80 to 90W) and S Dual Mesh 0.25ohm (45 to 55W): the S series, for big clouds at high power
• IM1 0.4ohm (40 to 60W) and IM4 0.15ohm (60 to 80W): the IM series coils, compatible with the same tanks

Whatever the value, first set your box towards the bottom of the recommended range, then increase gradually.

Compatibility

Geekvape lists these coils for the Cerberus, the Shield and the Aero. If you vape on a Zeus Sub-Ohm, Z Fli or Zeus Sub-Ohm 5 tank, you need another family: the Z Series coils. To replace an old tank, have a look at the tanks section; the other coils are in the coils section.

Frequently asked questions

X1 or X2: what is the difference?

They fit in the same place. The X1, at 0.2ohm, needs 60 to 70W and gives more vapour; the X2, at 0.4ohm, is happy with 50 to 60W, a good choice if your box tops out lower or if you want to save battery.

How can I extend its life?

Avoid vaping with an almost empty tank, stay within the recommended power range and prefer a low-sugar e-liquid: the mesh clogs less quickly and the flavour lasts longer.
