The B coil that equips the most Geekvape devices

The B Series coils from Geekvape, here in their classic version, are sold in boxes of 5. They are found in the Aegis Boost, Aegis Boost Plus and Aegis Hero pods as well as in the H45, the Z50 kit or the Z Nano tanks. If your device accepts B coils, this version remains the most versatile in the family.

Which value for which draw?

• 0.2ohm (50 to 58W) and 0.3ohm (30 to 38W): direct-to-lung (DL) inhalation, the vapour goes straight into the lungs, with a generous cloud
• 0.4ohm (25 to 35W) and 0.6ohm (15 to 25W): more restrained direct draw (RDL), which also accepts nicotine salts
• 1.2ohm (10 to 14W): mouth-to-lung (MTL) inhalation, the puff stays in the mouth before being inhaled, as with a cigarette

Note that this classic 1.2ohm is not the same part as the 1.2ohm B MTL, which works between 8 and 12W.

Compatibility

They fit the Aegis H45 Classic pod kit, the Z50 kit, the Aegis Mini 2 kit and the Z Nano 2 tank, as well as the Aegis Boost, Aegis Boost Plus, Aegis Hero, B60 and Aegis Boost 3 pods. On a small pod like the H45, Geekvape advises the 0.4ohm and 0.6ohm values. The brand specifies that the classic version and the B Boost have the same base: they can be swapped freely, including on the Aegis Force, the Z Nano 3 and the Aegis Mini 5. Frequently asked questions

Classic or B Boost: which should I take?

Both fit the same devices. The B Boost, more recent, lasts about twice as long according to Geekvape and adds a 0.15ohm; the classic is the only one of the two to exist in 1.2ohm.

Why does my new coil have a burnt taste?

Most often, the cotton had not had time to soak. Moisten the coil through its side windows before fitting it, let the full tank rest for a few minutes and start at the bottom of the power range.
