Mesh coils built for the Z Max

The M Series coils from Geekvape are the only coils that fit the Z Max tank. All heat via a mesh surface, engraved KA1 on the coil, and aim at direct-to-lung (DL) inhalation: the vapour heads to the lungs in one go, with a thick cloud. They demand power, from 55 to 100W depending on the value, and are sold in 5s.

Choosing your value according to your box

• 0.14ohm (60 to 80W): the coil originally installed in the Z Max
• 0.15ohm, Quadra version (85 to 100W): for boxes that go very high
• 0.2ohm, Triple version (70 to 85W): the second coil supplied with the tank
• 0.3ohm, Dual Mesh version (55 to 65W): the least power-hungry

Check that your box reaches the top of the recommended range: an underpowered coil gives lukewarm vapour and little flavour.

Compatibility

Geekvape is clear: M Series coils only fit the Z Max, including the one supplied with the Aegis Legend 2 Classic kit. The Zeus Sub-Ohm, Z Fli or Zeus Sub-Ohm 5 tanks use another family, the Z Series coils. If the glass of your Z Max breaks, the 4ml and 6ml models are on the replacement glass page. Frequently asked questions

What power should I start at?

Set your box to the lowest figure in the engraved range, take a few puffs, then go up 5W at a time until you reach the result you like. Do not exceed the top of the range: the cotton dries out and burns.

Does an M Series coil need priming?

Yes. Pour a few drops of e-liquid into the centre of the coil and onto the visible cotton, fit it, fill the Z Max and wait a good five minutes before vaping.
