Wenax S3 Evo: the pod pen that lights up with a coloured ring

The Wenax S3 Evo pod kit takes the idea of the Wenax S3 from Geekvape: a 19mm diameter tube, weighing less than 51 grams, that fits in a jacket pocket. It is for those who go from cigarettes to vaping without wanting any fuss, or who want a back-up device. Its built-in 1,100mAh battery means no cells to buy.

The novelty shows at the foot of the device: a light ring runs round the base and indicates the state of the device. You vape by simply drawing or pressing the button; three quick presses go from Low (red) to Med (blue) then High (green), and Boost mode releases full power, up to 18W. The airflow structure has been reworked for finer adjustment. Nearly closed, it offers mouth-to-lung inhalation (MTL): the puff is held in the mouth before being inhaled, like a cigarette. Open, it moves to a restricted direct draw (RDL), a little airier.

Compatible pods and mouthpieces

The device takes Geekvape S pods, where the coil is built in. For spares, take the Wenax S pods 2 Pack: the 0.8ohm (14 to 18W) for denser vapour, the 1.2ohm (9 to 13W) for a more restrained vape. On mouthpieces, the S3 Evo accepts the soft-touch and plastic models from the Wenax M1 range as well as filter tips.
