Geekvape Soul: an understated pod for a soft, precise vape

The Soul pod kit is the first device in the Soul line from Geekvape. Its slim rectangular body is more a pocket accessory than a classic e-cigarette. It suits the person looking for mouth-to-lung inhalation (MTL, the vapour stays in the mouth first) as well as the one who likes a slightly freer draw, called RDL, halfway between tight and airy vaping.

The built-in 1,500mAh battery charges over USB-C, and Geekvape claims about two days of use per charge. Power ranges from 5 to 30W and is shown on a 0.69-inch OLED screen. You vape by drawing or with a press of the button. The 4ml pods carry a mesh coil; the air arrives from the top, a choice designed against leaks, and a dial sets the opening of the draw.

Compatibility

The Soul accepts the Soul pods 2 Pack and the Soul Boost Version pods 2 Pack, in 0.6ohm (from 15 to 30W) or in 1ohm (from 5 to 15W). The Soul Boost 0.4ohm is reserved for the Soul 2 pod kit: do not fit it on this model. More formats are waiting in the pod kits category.

Frequently asked questions

Which pod should you choose if you are coming off cigarettes?

Take the 1ohm, used between 5 and 15W: the draw is tight and the vapour discreet. The 0.6ohm, already in place, opens the draw a little and gives more vapour.

Do the Soul and the Soul 2 share the same pods?

Largely: the Soul and Soul Boost pods in 0.6ohm and 1ohm fit both devices. Only the Soul Boost 0.4ohm needs a Soul 2.

How long does the battery last?

Geekvape speaks of about two days after a full charge. Actual duration depends on the power chosen and the number of puffs in the day.
