Zelos X80: the 18650 box mod and the Nautilus GT II

The Zelos X80 kit from Aspire pairs a box mod running on an 18650 battery with the Nautilus GT II tank, heir to the famous Nautilus GT. It suits vapers who prefer swapping batteries to waiting for a recharge, while keeping the option of recharging the battery in the box over USB-C at 2A. The zinc and aluminium alloy body offers a balanced grip.

The Nautilus GT II accepts all Nautilus coils, which makes it an all-round tank. The BVC 1.8ohm supplied in the box gives a tight draw, mouth-to-lung (MTL, like a cigarette). The Mesh 0.3ohm, already installed, opens the draw for an airier vape, direct-to-lung (DL, into the lungs). Between the two, the airflow ring at the bottom of the tank fine-tunes the air intake. Filling is from the top and the tube is easy to replace.

Frequently asked questions

Which battery should I use with the Zelos X80?

A single 18650 battery, not supplied. You can recharge it in the box with the USB-C cable or in a separate charger.

What power should I set with each coil?

Aspire advises 10 to 14W for the BVC 1.8ohm and 23 to 28W for the Mesh 0.3ohm. Start at the bottom of the range, then go up gently until you find the right balance between flavour and vapour.

Is the Zelos X80 suitable as a first device?

Yes: in power mode, you just choose the watts with the + and - keys. The advanced modes remain there for later. Just remember to handle the 18650 battery with care.
