Pixo: a touchscreen to control your vape

The Pixo pod kit from Aspire replaces the setting buttons with a 1.47-inch colour touchscreen. It will appeal to vapers who like to see what is going on: power, detected coil, seven-day puff counter. If you prefer not to touch anything, SMART mode sets the power itself to the pod in place; WATT mode leaves you in control between 5 and 30W.

Three ways of firing the heating are offered: on inhale, with the button, or both at once. The 1100mAh built-in battery recharges over USB-C, with a 2A charging current. The 3ml pods fill from the side and include their mesh coil: when the taste drops, you change the whole pod. A slider on the side meters the airflow, from a tight draw with mouth-to-lung inhaling (MTL, the vapour goes through the mouth like with a cigarette) up to direct-to-lung inhaling (DL), where the vapour goes straight to the lungs, via an intermediate draw (RDL).

Frequently asked questions

Which Pixo pod for which draw?

Aspire advises the 1.2ohm between 9 and 13W and the 1ohm between 10 and 15W for a tight draw. The 0.6ohm is used from 14 to 19W, and the 0.4ohm from 23 to 30W for an airier vape and more vapour.

What is SMART mode?

The Pixo recognises the pod inserted and applies a suitable power by itself. Handy if you often change value or if you are a beginner.

Do I need to change a coil in the pod?

No, the coil is built into the pod: you replace the whole thing when the flavour weakens or a burnt taste appears.
