The Target 80, a compact kit for direct-to-lung vaping

The Target 80 kit from Vaporesso brings together the Target 80 box mod and the iTank tank. The box, wrapped in metal, holds a 3,000mAh battery: no cells to choose or replace, a USB-C cable is enough to recharge it at 5V / 2A. It delivers 5 to 80W and shows its settings on a 0.96-inch TFT screen. This kit suits anyone moving from a pod to a first, more powerful piece of gear.

Its AXON 2.0 chipset offers two ways of heating: F(t) mode, which varies the heating during the puff to bring out the flavours, and Pulse mode. On the tank side, the 5ml iTank takes GTi coils. The 0.2ohm, intended for 60 to 75W, is for the most vapour-heavy direct-to-lung inhalation (DL); the 0.4ohm, at 50 to 60W, keeps a more restrained airy draw. A spare glass and seals are tucked in the box in case of a knock.

Compatible coils

The iTank gets new coils with the GTi coils 5 Pack, offered in several values. GTX coils do not fit it. The Target 80 box mod also screws onto other tanks: take your pick in the tanks category. Is the Target 80 quick to charge?

Vaporesso claims around 20% of battery recovered in 15 minutes. The charge level stays visible on screen while the box mod is plugged in.

Which GTi coil should I start with?

Start with the 0.4ohm at around 50W: the vapour is already dense and e-liquid use stays moderate. Move to the 0.2ohm, between 60 and 75W, when you want more cloud.
