The Luxe Q pod kit from Vaporesso is for people who want to vape without any fuss. It has no fire button: heating starts when you inhale, a bit like with a cigarette. Its leather-effect shell sits well in the fingers, hardly shows marks and slips easily into a jeans pocket.

The built-in 1,000mAh battery charges over USB-C and a three-colour light shows what is left. Two 2ml mesh pods come with the device. With the 1.2ohm, the draw is tight: this is mouth-to-lung (MTL) inhalation, where the vapour goes through the mouth first. The 0.8ohm opens up the airflow a little and rounds out the vapour. Want to fine-tune it further? Turn the pod around in its slot to change the airflow. The brand's SSS system is designed to limit leaks.

Compatible pods

Take the 1.2ohm if you want a narrow draw, close to the feel of a cigarette. Keep the 0.8ohm for times when you want a bit more vapour and a freer airflow.

How do I know when to recharge the Luxe Q?

The battery light changes colour as the battery drains. As soon as it signals a low level, plug the pod into a charger with the supplied USB-C cable.
