This Riil X pod from Aspire is sold individually and without a coil: you fit the AF coil of your choice. Its transparent food-grade body shows the e-liquid level, handy to never vape dry. It holds 2ml and fills from the side.

Which coil should I install?

It takes the AF Mesh coils in 0.6, 0.8 and 1ohm. The 1ohm (12 to 15W) gives a tight draw in mouth-to-lung (MTL, the vapour goes through the mouth before being inhaled, like a cigarette). The 0.6ohm (15 to 18W) opens the vape towards a restricted direct-to-lung (RDL) draw. The Riil X airflow button then lets you fine-tune. The 0.4ohm from the same family is not designed for this pod.

When should I change the pod?

A pod is replaced when it scratches to the point of hindering the level reading, when it seeps at the seal or when it keeps the smell of an old e-liquid despite rinsing. Having a spare also avoids mixing two flavours in the same tank. Other models await in the pods category.
